This poster was used for the main display to invite people to come and view the show. There were over 200 visitors over the 2 week period. The typographic theme continued throughout the show with award stickers, "call for entries" posters, and banners used for display.

As a premiere 5-day annual event, the SLOIFF showcases contemporary and classic film screenings in a wide variety of venues, from the city’s classic art deco Fremont Theatre, to the popular independent Palm Theatre, with a variety of unexpected venues from the wine country of Paso Robles to the seaside towns of Avila and Pismo Beach.
This year, they needed a poster to showcase their widely popular "Sports Night", which is normally their annual "Surf Nite". They combined the action-packed sports of Surfing, Biking, and Snowboarding and needed a poster that would appeal to the masses and get more attendees to the 2012 Festvial.Graphic Design, Photography, Typography2012 -

Designed shirts, posters, & web banners for the event. Shirts were worn by over 100 attendees, and posters were plastered all over the Cal Poly campus, as well as downtown San Luis Obispo. I not only got to design for Startup Weekend SLO, but was also a participant.
A little bit of info about the event:
"Startup Weekend SLO is an intense 54 hour event which focuses on building a web or mobile applications which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of a weekend. The weekend brings together people with different skill sets - primarily software developers, graphic designers and business people - to build applications and develop a commercial case around them"Advertising, Digital Art, Graphic Design2012 -
Team Donovan is a team for Beach Cities Relay for Life, who were formed back in 2003 in honor and memory of Kevin Donovan, who was diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer, at the age 31.
Since 2003, Team Donovan has raised over $240,000. The team endeavors to raise money and awareness towards the fight to find the cure for cancer.
I have had the pleasure of designing for them since 2009, and this year marks their 10th anniversary! I wanted to create a badge logo, that could be used on shirts, flyers, posters, reflected the triumph of the team, as well as use purple to show tribute to the Relay for Life event (color is the primary color used for the organization)

Created a poster set for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's Faculty-Led Stud Abroad programs. Each country within the program has a symbol, color, and typeface that best represents them. Matching bookmarks were also created as handouts with information of the programs on the back.
Posters were displayed all over Cal Poly campus, and bookmarks passed out to thousands of students.Graphic Design, Typography2012 -
I have been doing Model United Nations since my freshman year in high school, so when I was asked to create an Identity for the Model United Nations team at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I immediately said yes!
I wanted to pull from the United Nations logo, but create a unique mark at the same time. I created the "Poly" typeface that has more of a youthful and playful vibe (because we DO have lots of fun while participating in MUN) and combined it with the more formal aspects of the serif typeface of "MUN" .
The logo was used for the credentials and placards for the conference, as well as the PolyMUN Conference website, information packet, posters, and various other conference materials.Graphic Design, Typography2011 -
Advertisement campaign created to raise awareness about San Luis Obispo Child Abuse Prevention Council (SLOCAP)'s Together We Will (TWW). TWW is a "dynamic training program to empower parents to advocate for their families, become change agents for their children, and work constructively to gain a powerful voice in San Luis Obispo County for children and families".
For this campaign, we wanted to create a something where viewers could put themselves within the ads, and really relate or connect to the situation depicted. We used people who were currently involved with TWW and used the phrase "This could be you" to connect each of the Ads together.
*This project was Art Directed under Ellen Riley and designed collectively with Stephanie Zombek. Photographers are David Yriarte and Christina Taggart.

This piece is one of two of "The Visual Word" pieces I did. The word that I wanted to visually represent was one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and I chose "Lust". I wanted to portray how people, especially young girls, lust after celebrities (“Bieber Fever”, the Twilight insanity…etc). I chose the Jonas Brothers because of their crazed fan base, and decided to create a journal of what I thought one of those fans would have.Graphic Design, Typography, Photography2011 -
